Ringer Series Premier

Ok, so I have been out for a while but I'm back and in full effect with the Fall 2011-12 season. I watched the series premier of Ringer tonight on the CW and these are my thoughts...

Series premier of Ringer on the CW was pretty good. Sarah Michelle Gellar plays a double role of main character Bridgette and her twin sister Siobhan (Shavonne). The show has a lot of mystery from the start and the characters seem interesting.

Some of the backgrounds looked really fake. Also, the way her sister (Siobhan) disappeared was really bogus but that's about the worst for the first episode.

Seems like Bridgette ran from the trouble in her old life just to step into a shit load of trouble in her sisters life. I am looking forward to seeing what living Siobhan's life  has in store for Bridgette.

It's got my attention, how bout yours? What did you think of the series opener?

Wow! Hawthorne on TNT was the "Bomb"

OMG! This weeks episode of Hawthorne was soooooo good.

First off, my girl Lisa Raye was on the show as Miles' wife. She slapped the sh&# out of Camille because of her son. That was crazy, but you can't really blame her, I mean that was her son's life that Camille put in jeopardy.

If Camille wants to be playing grown up and taking care of somebody else's children then she should be more responsible than she was.

I know that Camile is a good girl and it's not like she gave the little boy peanuts on purpose, but come on Camille if you are going to try to take care of someone's children then take care of them. Right?

I can not freakin believe that Christina slept with Nick. Ok so that is bad enough... excuse me Mrs. newlywed. But then she did it outside in the backyard at his mom's house... Really? What in the world is wrong with you?

Where do we go from here? Do you guys think that Tom and Christina will get a divorce? How will Christina react to Camille's and Miles' love confessions?

Can't wait to see what happens next!

"Can Someone Hand Me a Tissue"

OMG! I just got around to watching the second season premier of Rookie Blue this weekend. It was a great premier, what happened made me cry and cry and cry some more.

The show is about these five rookie cops Andy, Traci, Gail, Chris, and Dov. They are now in there sophomore year as cops and still going through some crazy times.

On the season premier, Andy is talking to this college girl at a free concert where the rookies are doing crowd control and next thing you know the girl is shot in the head. Andy takes a shot to the upper abdomen, luckily she was wearing her vest.

Between Andy being shot and the toll it takes on her, the girl being such a good person and not even the actual target of the shooting, the pep talk that one of the veteran cops (Oliver) gives to Andy, the victims mother at the hospital, and Dov trying to convince the captain to make a way for the victims organs to be donated as the mom wishes... I could not stop the tears from flowing.

I know that these shows are not for real, but I think it is so awesome when you can watch a show and fall so in love with the characters that you are actually so touch by what they are going through that you have to keep pausing the DVR to wipe your eyes and blow your nose. Smile!

This is a great show and I am looking forward to what happens this season. I am wondering how Sam (Andy's previous training officer) is going to deal with his o'so obvious feelings for Andy. What will Traci do about her feelings for detective Barber now that she is back with her son's father. Also, what will come of Andy's boyfriend Luke's ex-girlfriend joining the 15.

Rookie Blue fans, have any ideas of what will go down this season? TV talk with me. Also, if any of you have not gotten into Rookie Blue yet I recommend checking it out.

So, what did your show make you do this week?

Made Me Say... "Yeah, I Can Dig It."

So I watched the series premier of Suits on USA yesterday. I was like, "Yeah. This is pretty cool."

I like the chemistry between the characters on this show. I also like the way Harvey (the big shot closer) has decided to take Mike (the smart azz know it all) under his wing and give him a chance even though it could ruin his life if someone found out that Mike is not actually a lawyer.

Although Harvey seems like he can be a bit of a pain in the azz sometimes, his annoyance level doesn't even come close to that of Louis' (the Harvey wanna be). Louis is a straight up a-hole.

I like that the women on the show are portrayed as being very smart and in charge. Jessica (the lawyer that really is in charge) seems very down to earth. Also, Rachel (the kickazz researcher) has some real fire in her and I like her confidence.

It seems like there might be a little something going on between Mike and his friend's girl but I guess we will just have to see what happens with that.

I think that this show will be pretty awesome. I watch a couple of lawyer shows and even though I have had more time with some of them, time to get to know the characters better, I still think that this will end up being one of my favorite legal comedy dramas.

So did any of you watch the premier? What did you think of it? Is this a show you are looking forward to getting into as much as me?

One of My Favorite Dramas of All Time

I have to admit that when Charmed first aired in 1998, I had no interest in magical dramas on TV. I was only fifteen and more worried about boys and cheerleading. However, when I first started watching Charmed in about 2002, I plunged deep into a whole new kind of love.

Charmed was a show that always had something going on. It was about three sisters, Piper (my fav), Phoebe , and Page. Well at least when I started watching it those were the three sisters. Before I started enjoying this show the oldest sister Prue had died. So, Piper, Phoebe, and Page were witches and they were awesome. There was always some demon or any other kind of evil creature one could think of, that they had to “vanquish”, this means kill in Charmed language.

You would think that a show that lasted from 1998 all the way until the explosive finale in 2006 would have gotten a bit boring with the same kind of things going on every week… bad demon tries to kill the Halliwell sisters or maybe some “innocent”, Halliwell sisters kick some serious demon butt. Yeah! But that never happened for me. Sure there were times when I thought that they could have spiced it up a bit more one week or another, but it was ask and you shall receive with this show. It never stayed slow for more than one week straight, and every show has some down time.

I know that nothing good lasts forever but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to cry every time I think about never getting to see another new episode of Charmed. This show was the epitome of what a good drama should be. There was the dynamic family connection with the sisters, their men, the children, grams, and tons of friends of the family. The show was full of action every week and always kept you wanting more.

I can only hope that someday soon there will be a spin-off of the show. My mom and I talk all the time about what it should/could be about. I want to know… did any of you ever watch Charmed? If so, and even if you didn’t, what would you like to see in a spin-off? How did you feel when the show went off the air? What do you think we Charmed lovers can do to bring a spin-off about? Let me know what you think.

Made Me... Mondays

Photo from mylifetime.com

So I watched the series premier of The Protector on Lifetime yesterday. The show is about a homicide detective who is recently divorced and taking care of her two sons, and her brother.

It seems like this will be a pretty good show. I like the way that the ladies are kicking butt in solving the cases and getting their work on. I like the relationship that Gloria (Walker) has with her boss.

So far I like the characters. It’s good to see Tisha Campbell-Martin back on TV again. I have seen the star of the show, Ally Walker, in a few things and I have liked her acting. I am looking forward to seeing where this show goes.

So, even though I did like the series premier of The Protector, something that the Gloria did in the show made me say... "What the ...!"

Ok, so I don't have any children so I may be stepping a bit out of bounds here (feel free to tell me so if you think so) when I say that Gloria should have done more than just hug her son Leo when she found out that he was the one who stole all the lawn ornaments from the neighborhood.

I understand that Leo is feeling upset because of the divorce and living in a new area but, I don't think that a hug is much of a punishment. She is a cop for heaven’s sake. I mean, I just think that she should have done something to let him know that what he did was wrong.

It is possible that Leo will be punished on the next episode. If that happens I will give them their props for taking care of it. However, if it does not I think that there is a big problem with letting a child (no matter how upset he is) get away with stealing without having to deal with some kind of consequence.

Once again, like I said earlier, I don't have any children. However, I have helped take care of enough children and been around enough parents to know that it is a bad idea to let something like that slide. So I was like "What the ..., if she don't whip his little butt or put him on punishment or something, he is going to think he can get away with anything.

So, how do you feel about it? Do you think that Gloria should have punished Leo, and if so how? Or, do you think she handled it the right way?

Made Me... Mondays

I watched the season premier of The Glades yesterday. The show was pretty good. Callie's husband is home from prison. Jim almost got blown up by the mafia. So much drama... loved it.

The season premier of the glades "made me... remember being a teenager". The show was about Jim solving the murder of this young woman. It came out in the show that she had a secret lover. They were able to find out who he was partly due to some number charts that she did when she was 15.

The girl was assigning numbers to vowels and using the chart to see if her boyfriend was her true love. I remember when I was a teenager and I did the same thing. Only, when I did it I assigned numbers to the entire names (mine and his) whoever he might have been at the time.

Its funny to think back to when I was a teen and how many times I thought that I was in love. If I only knew.

Its good to be able to look back at things that I did like that when I was younger and see how much I've grown. I'm glad that The Glades "made me rember".

What did your show make you do today?
